Whitney Ridgeway

I grew up in the church, but did not start walking with the Lord until my adulthood. After graduating high school, I had my first son, Nathaniel. As a single mother, I provided as best as I could; I attended our local Jr. College and worked as a preschool teacher. However, in my twenties, I found myself in abusive relationship that led me to years of addiction. I struggled, I pushed my family away, my son had to live with family; it was a dark time for me. I don’t exactly know when, I had my breaking point, but I know the Lord was with me every step of the way.

When I surrendered to the Lord, he opened doors I never thought possible.
In the fall of 2018, I went to Greece to work with Refugees with Mission One Eleven on a 2-week trip. I fell in love with missions and found my call into missions. The next year, I served in South Africa and then I went through the Mission One Eleven program and served in Ethiopia.

I now have been 4 years clean and sober. My son Nathaniel is a college student and is on fire for the Lord. I have been married for almost 2 years to my husband, Brian and we have a son named Maverick. I now work at City Serve in administration and assist Mission One Eleven with admin work. My husband and myself plan to go overseas on pioneer missions.
