Between 2010 and 2020 more than 25 million refugees were forced to flee to save their lives or preserve their freedom, and many more moved across international borders to join family members already abroad, search for a livelihood, escape a natural disaster, war or famine. A great many of these were fleeing from predominantly Muslim nations and found themselves re-settled in European countries.

When most of the world (or church) was seeing this as an invasion or muslim threat, Mission One Eleven believed that God was giving us an unmistakable opportunity to reach a people group that had otherwise been restricted or it had been unlawful to even hear the gospel. We couldn’t go into these closed countries, so God brought them to us.

Mission One Eleven created a phone app (StoryShare) that allows people speaking one language to share the Gospel stories in another language. This worked particularly well in Sweden where a requirement to stay was to learn swedish in language classes. These classes were held in churches across Sweden and they used the app to not only teach the language but to share God’s story as well.

Mission One Eleven also has sent teams to Camp Moria on the island of Lesvos Greece to share the good news.

Currently we are working in Muslim countries with muslim partners to train and equip them to share the good news within the Islamic culture.
