Unreached People
There are over 7.6 billion people living today; and of this number over 42%, 3.16 billion are without access to the gospel.
Unreached: An unreached or least-reached people is a people group among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance.
That means more than a third of the world’s population have no Bibles, no churches and no one that can share God’s story with them. In fact, most of them have never even heard of the name Jesus let alone discover who he is and the gift of salvation that is available to them.
This is our focus.
Most churches have a missions program. Out of $42 trillion* spent on missions, only $450 million* go to places where they have no access. The bulk of the money spent for missions is in places where they already have access, churches, Bibles, and Bible schools. Less than 1% actually go the 1/3 of the population that has never had one chance to hear the Good News.
The task is monumental, there still are over
6,992** unreached people groups that represent more than 3,158,207,000** people who have never heard.
Many in the church assume that because of technology that the task has been handled, but the numbers show a different story. New technology affords us new opportunities but we still must go or send, and we can’t assume someone else is doing it.
Mission One Eleven takes the mandate seriously and simply goes. We go to the ends of the earth using whatever means is possible and available.
